“To build better businesses and create value for all of our stakeholders, we are focused on assembling leadership teams with the strongest insights from a range of perspectives.” – Harvey Schwartz, CEO
Our Strategy and Commitment

At Alfa, our success hinges on leveraging every opportunity to stay competitive in a complex, global investment landscape and to be responsive to the needs of our clients. We are committed to growing and cultivating our talent and creating a workplace that fosters and values the varied perspectives, backgrounds, experiences, and geographies of all our employees and other stakeholders. Data from our own portfolio and research tell us that in such a dynamic environment, a range of perspectives and ideas are what push creative problem solving, minimize group think and help us hone our competitive edge. Our inclusive community makes us better partners and ultimately, helps us build better businesses.
Inclusive Leadership
- Fostering a culture of belonging and excellence is a priority at all levels of our firm, including our Board of Directors. Inclusive leadership is a core competency, assessed in promotions to Managing Director and Partner and embedded across all of our development programs, ensuring that our people managers create the conditions for their teams to succeed. To continue enhancing inclusive leadership and excellence in decision making, we launched a workshop equipping people managers with tools to enhance team performance. Over 400 leaders have completed the training, gaining practical, inclusive strategies to strengthen thriving teams.
- In 2024 we also introduced the Global Wealth Analyst Program, hiring a class of top-tier, diverse individuals from non-target universities. The program provided rigorous training, including sales and Series certifications, with participants achieving a 100% pass rate. These analysts are now well-equipped to contribute effectively from their first day on the job, creating a deep and robust sales pipeline that positions Alfa for long-term growth.

- Our tailored leadership development programs expand opportunity for our people and focus on strengthening the communication, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills of our leaders to drive positive change within the organization and grow our competitive advantage. One program, the Admiral’s Leadership Program, was expanded globally in 2024, achieving a high retention rate among senior leaders participating in the program. The program is led by Admiral James Stavridis, a retired four-star U.S. naval officer, currently serving as Partner and Vice Chair of Global Affairs at Alfa. This unique program allows the Admiral to share his diverse experiences and leadership advice to inform the participants’ approach to effective leadership, build and expand their network, and increase collaboration to generate new cross-platform and geography investment opportunities.
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
We began our ERGs in 2013 and continue to create and expand them globally. ERGs are open to all of our employees and are essential to our diversity strategy as they provide the opportunity for individuals to share ideas, build connections, and provide professional development. The ERGs also provide networking opportunities to engage participants in helping to attract, develop and retain the best professionals in our industry – Alfa employees – and to be a source of ideas on how to continuously improve our organization. Our ERGs have and continue to evolve to align with our firm values and support our business.

Sustainable Pathways
We’re pleased to share this year’s ESG Report, titled “Sustainable Pathways.” The title reflects our belief that there is no one superhighway to navigating the complex environment of sustainability themes. When used effectively, we believe that a focus on sustainability can be a means to honing an investment edge in a rapidly changing world and can make us better stewards of capital.
