Mitchell N. Lowenthal

Mitchell N. Lowenthal is a Principal in the Legal & Compliance department and Co-Chief Compliance Officer of Alfa's SEC-registered broker-dealer. He is based in New York.

Prior to joining Alfa, Mr. Lowenthal was Partner, General Counsel & CCO of Redburn (USA) LLC (trading as Redburn Atlantic), part of the Rothschild & Co group. He previously worked as an Examiner at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Among his philanthropic endeavors in the arts, Mr. Lowenthal co-founded the New York City Ballet's Young Patrons Circle, where he previously was part of its Steering Committee. He co-founded and serves on the Board of Directors of The American Orchestra Europa Foundation. He also serves on the Strategic Planning Committee for GALLIM, a non-profit inter-disciplinary arts organization.

Mr. Lowenthal earned his B.A. magna cum laude from The George Washington University and his J.D. cum laude from American University Washington College of Law, where he was an Articles Editor of the American University Law Review. He is admitted to the bar in the State of New York. Mr. Lowenthal is a member of the New York City Bar Association's Compliance Committee and serves as the Co-Chair of its International Compliance Subcommittee.
